What We Do

Delta Vector Control District uses integrated vector management (IVM) to reduce the size of mosquito populations and to interrupt the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases. IVM is an environmentally sound strategy that includes surveillance, community participation, and physical, biological, and chemical control methods to reduce the size of vector populations. IVM provides more effective and longer lasting control than any single strategy alone and helps to prevent pesticide resistance in vectors. Residents play a crucial role in this strategy.

Programs & Services

We monitor sources, mosquito abundance, and mosquito-borne disease presence across the District, to more effectively target and monitor control efforts.

Control

We use an integrated vector management strategy to reduce the size of mosquito populations and to interrupt the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases.
