Mark Nakata

Biologist

Mark started his career at Delta Mosquito and Vector Control District in 2018. As a Biologist, Mark oversees mosquito surveillance routes, the mosquitofish program, and maintenance of all mosquito traps. Prior to working at the District, he has been in vector control since 2016 when he was hired as a Laboratory Intern for the Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District.

He holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Irvine. Mark is certified by the California Department of Public Health as a Vector Control Technician in Categories A through D.

Outside of work, Mark is a scratch golfer and enjoys various forms of rock climbing. He is quite tech savvy and is constantly tinkering with computers, small electronics, 3D printing, and the VR realm.
