Visalia & Woodlake, CA – Due to Aedes aegypti abundance, four locations in Visalia and two in Woodlake will be treated with a wide area larvicide. These locations had the highest numbers of Ae. aegypti caught compared to all other locations during the same time period. These treatments have begun the week of June 27th and may continue until the week of September 12th, depending on weather and data. Treatments will take place via truck-mounted equipment, between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. The larvicide in use, Vectobac WDG, is OMRI listed and target specific.
