We are sorry to announce that due to COVID-19 the Delta Vector Control District weed control program is being suspended for 2021.

Our weed control program requires close proximity of two persons in order to successfully complete the number of locations which need to be treated. Lacking both personnel and resources which would allow us to provide a safe means of completing these treatments and given the ever-changing and unprecedented COVID-19 situation, we are unwilling to risk the wellbeing of our employees and their families with the continued potential COVID-19 risk.

We are hopeful that we will be able to reinstate the weed control program in the 2022 season. Those who initially signed on for the 2021 season, prior to the evaluation and suspension of the program, will be contacted late 2021 or early 2022 for their interest. If you would like your dairy to potentially be included in this list, please contact the District.

Weed control is still required to limit mosquito breeding at each location that we normally treat. Larval treatment from Delta Vector Control District will continue.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Please contact the District for additional information.
